Abbotsford Mission Recycling Depot accepts three separate streams of recycling:
- From residential homes at our two drop off locations.
- Residential curbside recycling that is transported by the City of Abbotsford and District of Mission
- Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) loads of recycling.
As of April 3, 2017, the City of Abbotsford and District of Mission are participating members of the provincial Recycle BC (MMBC) Recycling Program.
By joining the Recycle BC Program, the City of Abbotsford and District of Mission’s recycling services will be funded by the producers that supply packaging and printed paper. The municipalities will collect the curbside recyclable materials on behalf of Recycle BC.
To meet Recycle BC specifications, changes have been made to curbside and drop-off recycling procedures and the acceptable items list. To find out about what materials can be taken to our two locations in Abbotsford and Mission, please see What We Take.
Industrial, Commercial and Industrial Recycling
Effective September 1, 2018, all loads of Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) as well as multi-family recycling will be charged a tipping fee of $95.00 per tonne for loads with greater than 50% corrugated cardboard (OCC) and $160 per tonne for loads with less than or equal to 50% OCC. This rate increase is to reflect increased processing costs associated with current recycling market conditions. To set up an account, please contact us..
Clean cardboard loads will not be charged a tipping fee.
For business loads or large quantities of product, please contact us to make arrangements.
